David Hanks

With a focus on architecture, design and decorative arts from the nineteenth century to the present, David A. Hanks has extensive experience in the museum field, including curatorial positions at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. For American and European museums, Mr. Hanks has curated and organized traveling exhibitions and also produced the accompanying exhibition catalogues. He has also developed major collections for corporations, private collectors and museums. For Domino’s Pizza, Mr. Hanks built an encyclopedic Frank Lloyd Wright collection and organized a traveling exhibition and accompanying catalogue for the Smithsonian Institution. He developed an important modern design collection for Tulsa entrepreneur George R. Kravis II, and produced two publications on the collection. Recent projects, based on the corporate collection of Richard Driehaus Enterprise Management, Inc., include exhibitions, with accompanying publications, on Louis Comfort Tiffany and Hector Guimard.
