Astrid Oviedo Clark Art Advisory assists discerning individuals to build and maintain museum-quality collections that include Old Master, Post-Impressionist, Modern, to Contemporary Art. Each collection is defined by the client′s personal taste and representative of the most important works available in their areas of interest as supported by in-depth market analysis, scholarly research, and real art world experience. With offices in New York City and Los Angeles, AOC works with collectors across the United States and internationally.

Astrid began as an archivist for the Leo Castelli Gallery, then a researcher at the Guggenheim Museum, an exhibition coordinator at the Museum of the City of New York and co-curator at the Museum of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She lectured at the Museum of Modern Art and taught undergraduate classes at Hunter College and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She worked with private banking clients at Citibank Art Advisory and was the publications manager for Gagosian Gallery, NYC. In Los Angeles, she was the Director of the Christopher Grimes Gallery before consulting for Schiff Fine Art. She founded Astrid Oviedo Clark Art Advisory in 2009.

Education

Astrid Oviedo Clark graduated from Georgetown University with a BA in both Art History and Philosophy. She holds her Masters in Arts Administration from the Fashion Institute of Technology of the State University of New York in NYC. She pursued a Ph.D. in Art History specializing in 20th Century Art at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.

The Association of Professional Art Advisors (APAA) is a not-for-profit organization comprised of leading independent art advisors, curators and corporate art managers. The organization is dedicated to the highest possible principles and guidelines for acquiring, maintaining and presenting art.
